Advocacy: Effectively Partnering With Your Child’s Teachers and School

September 12 @ 6:45 pm - 8:15 pm

Your child is struggling in school.  What can you as a parent do to ensure an effective partnership with your child’s teachers and school?  Learn how to get organized and advocate for your child in a nonconfrontational way.  All attendees will receive a free IEP organizational binder from Understood.org.

Presenter:  Jennifer A. Hasser, M.Ed., Past President of the International Dyslexia Association – Georgia and Executive Director of Syllables Learning Center/Kendore Learning. Jennifer is a regular presenter at reading and dyslexia conferences and serves as an educational consultant to a number of Atlanta-area schools. In addition, she designs, develops, and implements response to intervention (RTI) plans for public schools. Most recently, she launched Kendore Cares, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing literacy services to underserved students.

This partnered outreach event will be held at Switzer Public Library (formerly known as Central Library) in Marietta, GA. The event is free and open to the public. Please register to reserve your spot. When you register, you will be invited to submit a question for the presenter.
