Early Identification, Evaluation, and Intervention of Dyslexia

Healthy Minds Psychology and Ladder Learning Services are hosting a free talk on Dyslexia, a neurologically-based disorder which interferes with the acquisition and processing of language. Varying in degrees of severity, Dyslexia presents difficulties in receptive and expressive language, including phonological processing, in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, and sometimes in math. As a part of Decoding Dyslexia of Georgia’s outreach efforts, Dr. LaRonta Upson Rush and Stacey Carriger will be presenting on early signs of dyslexia, initial assessment and diagnosis, intervention/treatment options (including school-based services and tutoring services), as well as what YOU can do to help your child at home.
