Experience Dyslexia® Simulations

September 27, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Thursday, September 27, 7:00 p.m.

Swift School, Dining Hall

300 Grimes Bridge Road

Roswell, GA  30075

Please join Swift School for an exciting evening as the newly created Swift Institute for Learning presents the Experience Dyslexia® simulations from the Northern California Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (NCBIDA). Experience Dyslexia® is designed to increase awareness of the difficulties and frustrations that people with dyslexia (a specific language learning disability) experience daily. Participants will leave these exercises with insight into working effectively with students with dyslexia and with greater empathy and understanding for the challenges people with this learning difference face.

At the conclusion of the simulations, Swift School’s Joanie Gerkin (Fellow, Academy of OrtonGillingham Practitioners and Educators), Natalie Felix (Fellow-In-Training, AOGPE), Sandi Epstein (Director Learning Support, AOGPE Clinical Supervisor), and Roni Battoglia (Lower Division Director) will lead a question and answer session.

Parents, educational professionals and psychologists are encouraged to attend this often difficult and always enlightening experience. This workshop is free but seating is limited. Register at
