How to Address Fine Motor and Writing Success using Tablet Apps

Description:

Does your child have trouble with fine motor activities, neatness with handwriting, or organization of writing activities? Is your student motivated by technology? Polly Benson, OTR/L will teach you how to leverage apps on smart technology for fine motor strengthening, dysgraphia, reversals, illegible handwriting, sensory deficits, and executive function weaknesses. We will review apps, strategies and how to utilize available technology for better, more legible writing. Do you have a phone in your pocket? You will exit this evening with at least 3 new tools that you can start using as soon as you get home!

Presenter:

POLLY BENSON, OTR/L, is a licensed Occupational Therapist with 23 years of clinical experience, currently working for FCS and serving on the AT team. She also is a national speaker for Cross Country Education. Ms. Benson focuses on students with various levels of deficits and has effectively implemented treatment strategies and goals using the power of smart technology.

This IDA-GA / DDGA Outreach Event is free and open to the public. Check-in will begin at 6:15 p.m. Program will start at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Please let others know about this event.
