Orton-Gillingham Subscriber Course

September 11, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Instructor: Natalie Felix

Orton-Gillingham Fellow-in-Training Dates:

Tuesdays, 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Sept 11, Oct 9, Nov 13

This fall Orton-Gillingham Fellow-in-Training Natalie Felix will lead a three-part OG Subscriber Level course, an introduction to the instructional approach used daily in Swift’s classrooms. Felix highly recommends this course for parents. “While succeeding with dyslexia has nothing to do with intelligence, it has everything to do with proper instruction,” says Felix. “That instruction is called the Orton-Gillingham Approach. When a parent deepens their understanding of how their child is being taught, that strengthens the school/teacher/parent partnership which in turn helps the student reach their potential.”

Course participants become informed consumers but are not qualified to teach using the OG approach.

Tuition: $195

Course work: Satisfies 6 hours of Orton-Gillingham course work
